Today we filled Mom’s car with food for struggling gov’t workers the Angels of LI are helping to feed and clothes for giving closets they’ll soon be filling at some Pat-Med schools. Those Angels do a great job of helping ppl- I’m so happy we are able to help each other! And I couldn’t do it without all your help and donations friends❤️
Not only was Helping Makes U Happy able to help many, many families at Thanksgiving and Christmas, but we’ve been able to donate warm coats, hats, scarves, gloves, socks, and shoes to St. John’s Street Ministry for the homeless, to John’s Place Homeless Shelters In Greenport and Mattituck, boxes and boxes of toys for children in need through the Family Service League and the COPE officers, and food for our local pantries!
So thank you so so much- Carlos Pizza who’s still collecting coats for us, Rudy Sunderman’s Office who also brought us coats, the CM Library who collected and donated boxes and boxes of winter hats, scarves, gloves, and bags of toys and coat donations, the CM PTA who partnered with us to collect new socks and underwear for the homeless, Kayla Kelly And Mrs. Worontsoff’s class at Clayton Huey Elementary who collected $180 in change to buy food for helping others, Kay Jewelers at the Outlets for the cases of bears they donated, Alitalia Pizza, Crust Around the Corner Pizza, and TJ’s Hero’s who all collected toys, and of course all of you who donated to all those collections!
Thanksgiving Food Boxes
This Thanksgiving, thanks to the overwhelming generosity of SFCU, Brownie Troop 1659, Cub Scout Troop 23 , Boy Scout Troop 23, and many community members, we were able to provide Thanksgiving food boxes and turkeys to 33 local families.
Suffolk Federal Credit Union Food Drive
Helping Makes U Happy wishes to thank SFCU for hosting a food drive to benefit HMUH in all nine of their branches during the month of October. We will be able to assist many local families with these wonderful donations.
Thanks For Giving Drive
Helping Makes U Happy will be collecting new socks and underwear for the homeless beginning in November. These are some of the most needed items, and we are hoping to make a difference for those in need. The Center Moriches PTA will be assisting us in collecting these items, watch for our donation boxes. We are extremely grateful to Cowfish, Rhum, and Rhumba restaurants who will be holding a staff donation drive across their four locations.
All 200 comfort cases donated to Suffolk County "N-Docket" children (those removed from their homes due to neglect), have been distributed. We will continue to collect new backpacks, toiletries, fleece throws, and school supplies to provide additional children with our comfort cases.
Big Little Holiday Party
