Board of Directors

 

Cassy Caputo, Chairperson:

After a 32 year career in the Purchasing Division of the Town of Brookhaven, Cassy retired in 2012 as the Director of Purchasing. For 22 years Cassy was involved in volunteering with various local organizations, and was a former board director of the Moriches Community Center before leaving to help her son Keith found Helping Makes U Happy, Inc. She is also the recipient of the 2017 Center Moriches School District Scope award for Community Service.

 

Gina Biamonte, President:

The controller/office manager for The Golden Pear Corporation located in Southampton, NY, since October, 2000.  Married to Michael Biamonte, a lifelong resident and volunteer fireman of Center Moriches, and mother of one son, Joseph. A dedicated volunteer to the Center Moriches PTA for over 13 years, having served on its board for eight consecutive years, including a two-year term as treasurer and president and four years as first vice president. Gina is a founding board member of HMUH.

 

Michelle Robey, Vice President: 

Graduated Hofstra University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Finance.  Began her career as an Accountant for KPMG before transitioning her career to executive search and for the last 20 years has been helping accounting and finance professionals find the best jobs on Long Island. 

In addition to being a founding board member of HMUH, Michelle also remains very connected to her Alma Mater and has served on the Executive Board of the Hofstra Alumni Organization, Chaired the Leadership Development Committee and sat on the Board of Hofstra’s Women in Leadership Organization.

 

Lisa Corn, Secretary:

Lisa Corn is a lifelong resident of Center Moriches.  She works in accounting and finance in the IT industry. She has volunteered in many different ways in our community but found HMUH and loves the fact that Keith is the driving force. 

 

Dorothy Elliott, Treasurer:

The founder and chairwoman of Joy Prom Long Island, and a past president and treasurer of the Moriches  Pa-Qua-TUck Squaws. Dorothy is a customer service representative at the IRS, and has worked there since 1998. Married with two sons, Dorothy is proud to be a part of this organization that helps so many. 

 

Keith Caputo, Founder and Board Member:

Prior to founding Helping Makes U Happy, Inc. in February of 2015, Keith had been active in local communities as a volunteer for many years.  He has been acknowledged as Newsday’s Long Islander of the Week and has received many awards for his community service. Among them are:

• Town of Brookhaven Youth Bureau, Certificate of Appreciation

• Suffolk County Legislature Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Service to the Youth of the Community

• NYS Assembly Certificate of Merit for Serving the Youth of the Town of Brookhaven

• NYS Senate Certificate of Recognition for Volunteerism

• NY Knicks Sweetwater Clifton Award for Community Service

• Suffolk County Legislature Proclamation of Achievements

• Clayton Huey Elementary School’s “Huey’s Hero”

• 2017 Center Moriches Teachers Association Community Spirit Award
